I regularly spend up to 5 hours at a time sitting in my chair so I know that I want it to be comfortable pretty much above everything else. That’s why I loved the supportive cushion and deep padding on the seat. This chair comes with a 4″ cushion which, I find, is just about right – some chairs tend to draw you in with their thick cushions and, believe it or not, this can actually become painful in the lower back after a prolonged time sitting down. Conversely, there are many chairs on the market that are nothing more than a bit of thin foam on top of some hardboard – and boy do they get tiresome after a while.
So, at 4″ I refer to my SuperJare chair as the goldylocks model – not too deep and not too thin – its just right.
The height is adjustable from 35 to 44″ which is perfect for me – I’m 6 foot in my socks – but for some taller people, the lower setting may not quite be enough. However, the powerful lift ram copes with my 18 stone frame so it should be powerful enough for most people.
Made of heavy duty steel, this chair is supremely durable and when combined with the hard wearing fabric, this chair will see you through many years of standard use.
I also like the fact that the SuperJare chair has no arms – this makes it great for a variety of uses other than drafting – and that it features a removable back cushion which turns it into a stool thats perfect for musicians or even propping you up at the bar – not that I ever do that of course!
So, overall, the SuperJare is a very capable chair that i have personally used for several years without any problems or issues. One small point is that I wouldn’t use it on carpet as the castors aren’t the best on the market. But, since most offices are hardwood or lino flooring, I have never seen this as much of an issue.
Based on the reviwes I have seen on Amazon, most people seem to agree with me as this chair scores an impressive 4.1 out of 5 stars.
If you like the sound of this budget conscious chair, then head on over to Amazon to pick up one – you won’t regret it.
